Ghayal Once Again
Sequel of Ghayal – Story in short – A young man, Sunny Deol, lives with his elder brother (Raj Babbar) and sister-in-law (Mousmi Chatterjee). They are shown as a happy family drawing pleasure from simple things in life. Raj gets trapped in illegal business deals of a rich but corrupt Businessman – Amrish Puri – and when he threatens Amrish to reveal his illegal activities to the cops, he is murdered!
Sunny gets the blame of killing his own brother and his sis-in-law dies of shock, disgust and trauma! Sunny is jailed where he be-friends some thugs. He escapes and manages to kill Amrish along with his other cronies.
Ghaayal Once Again –
Sunny is shown to have reached the mental asylum for he could not take the trauma of losing his brother and sis-in-law under such gory circumstances! He is given electric shocks and high doses of tranquilizers to keep him stable. He somehow gets healed and opens his own press and TV channel – Satyakam – where he shows the truth and nothing but the truth!
Circumstances are such that one of his very best buddies (ex-Police officer to whom he had surrendered) dies in an accident! Later it was revealed that it was a murder and just to camouflage the murder of a single man, 10 other people also die in the road accident that was created by a filthy rich businessman just to cover his son’s misdeeds.
Some college going kids accidentally shoot (camera shoot) the shooting (pistol shoot) of the pampered and spoilt brat of the rich Bizman. The goons then try to kill the kids but are saved by Sunny eventually.
Take Home:
- The movie shows the helplessness of parents in front of their children.
- Film shows that parents are to be blamed to a lot of extent as they are the ones responsible to instil good manners and habits in their children.
- Just by purchasing expensive gifts and fulfilling all the material desires for the child – does not make him or her good – rather they become arrogant, selfish and foolish too! This is the reason why the Bizman’s son turns into a drug addict and a foul-mouthed murderer!
- Revenge is not the ultimate solution – this is clear from the way Sunny suffers from mental trauma because of his painful past!
- It is possible that the forthcoming generation may be able to heal itself by becoming more compassionate and standing by truth.
