Fantasy Vs. Reality- An Analysis – Devdas Vs. Raajneeti

Fantasy – London returned Devdas keeps alive the memories of childhood friend – and in spite of being exposed to stunning fair skinned beauties he must have come across in London, he comes back looking for rural-area bred Paro!

Paro being a poor family girl is instantly rejected by parents of Devdas! Like they had sent their son abroad and had expected him to have a more refined taste – being exposed to higher education etc. but he was still inclined towards the neighbourhood girl!

Paro is wed off in a haste to an aged man with a daughter as old as Paro! Plus – tighten your seat belts folks…the aged male structure refused to touch stunning and youthful Paro! See how contradictory are the ways of the world…males are generally thought of as sex-starved poodles – but lo-behold! Here this aged male refuses to touch the young bride! Amazingly in this film Paro is shown to have an interest to ‘do-the-needful’ with the old man!!..so when the old man refuses to share the bed with her – she looks kinda sad! So according to this film Paro just had a ‘quicky’ with Devdas one evening – that’s all! See the Indian Directors, producers and story-writers folks – esp. men? They do not believe in letting the Indian females have much of a good time…..and they often show the gory ending of flings! Ref. 1969 release film Aradhana – Just a single ‘roop tera mastana’ affair – after that – all dark!

Anyways, so Devdas is sad….or basically did not have much brains too..he was sent away from family to a hostel abroad because all he did was play around – as concerned parents, they had sent him away so he could study further…but higher education needs brains…this parents forget!

But all this turned into a boon for Devdas! He finds the best bet for which probably all males (well most men) all over the world survive – Wine and women! He lands up with alcohol and a pretty concubine (picked from a brothel of dancers)! Life got set! He did not have to work – just booze and be enwrapped in the arms of a concubine. Period! At the end he dies because of liver failure! Just wonder what kind of a school he attended that taught him to be such a spineless sloppy confused egoistic fool!

Reality – Rajniti

Just focus on Ranbir and Katreena’s (Kat) life in the film. Ranbir was pally or even sort of attached to Kat since childhood. But he goes abroad for further studies. And the evident happened. He met prettier and fair skinned women (Indians are crazy for fair skin – have a look at our range of fairness products) who readily sleep with any man who catches their fancy! Very bold, intelligent and aggressive you see.

So Ranbir falls hook, line and sinker for this female – forgetting all about Kat. Kat then marries his elder brother – who was a womaniser! This is practical life. It is good that films show such realities nowadays – or else women will continue waiting for some lovey-dovey Mr. Right wasting their entire life in mushy stupidity. It is better that they face reality and achieve something more worthwhile in life!
