New proverb for the current era – Ghor Kalyug:

Ignorance is both bliss & power.
The more ignorant the mass, the more powerful are you
More the power, more riches & manpower
More riches – life comfortable and happy
more happiness equals to bliss!
Hence proved!

Knowledge is power
Education begets knowledge
Poor Educational Infrastructure
Yields poor dissemination of knowledge
Poorer the knowledge base
Richer the ignorance – ignorant

Riches can fetch you more manpower
More the manpower, more powerful are you
The ignorant but rich is at bliss
because he has surplus manpower
to work for him!
Ignorance is bliss!

Hence ignorance is both bliss and power!
